Residential Facilities The Lord has led House of Hope to the point of opening our residential program through the identification of a property in Kent County. Little Creek Inn on Rt 8 in Dover is properly-zoned and we have already received our Certificate of Use from the Kent County Zoning Department. This allows us to use this property for the residential part of our program.
The opening of this residential program will allow us to better serve more families from the Delmarva area. It will also allow us to offer the teens a safe haven where they can receive counseling and education away from the poor situations in which they find themselves. Non-residential counseling will continue for those teens that do not have the needs that require a separate living situation. Many have already been helped, many are still waiting.
The property already has a home built on it and comes with 7 acres of land. It is an ideal place to begin the residential program. We are working to raise $850,000 for the purchase of this property. We are asking you to prayerfully seek the Lord regarding how He would have you support this ministry.
BUILDING FUND
We have set up a building fund for the purchase of this property. If you feel led to give to this part of our ministry, please send your check to P.O. Box 521, Bridgeville, DE 19933. Please mark it as a specific donation towards our building fund.
Non-Residential Counseling
Our counseling program continues to grow. God has gifted House of Hope as a "Ministry of Reconciliation." 2 Corinthians 2:20-21 says, "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. " House of Hope is dedicated to being Christ's ambassadors to these hurting teens and their families. Please support us in this Ministry of Reconciliation.
For a testimony from one of our teens, please visit the "Program" - "Non-Residential" Tabs.
Name Change
Shiloh House of Hope has changed it's name. As an affiliate of National House of Hope in Orlando, FL we were asked to change our name so that all Houses of Hope around the country are recognized as being part of one organization. Our new name is House of Hope Delaware as the Lord has been opening doors for us to minister in all parts of the state.
God Bless you and your family for lifting us up in your prayers.
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." 2 Corinthians 3:17
